Product Condition & Grading Policy

At Connectivity Warehouse, we are committed to transparency and accuracy in product condition descriptions. All pre-owned, open-box, and refurbished networking hardware is assigned a quality grade from A to E. These grades describe the physical appearance, completeness, and functional state of the hardware you purchase.

Grade A — New / Factory Sealed

  • Brand new and unopened in original manufacturer-sealed packaging.
  • Includes all accessories, cables, and documentation.
  • No signs of handling or wear.
  • Manufacturer warranty applies where available.

Grade B — Like New / Open Box

  • Packaging has been opened, but the unit is unused or appears unused.
  • Excellent cosmetic condition with no signs of wear.
  • Fully tested and operational.
  • Typically includes all original accessories.

Grade C — Used / Fully Functional

  • Previously used but fully functional and tested.
  • Light to moderate cosmetic wear such as minor scratches or label residue.
  • May be missing non-essential accessories (rack ears, console cables, documentation, etc.).

Grade D — Heavily Used / Functional With Defects

  • Hardware is operational but shows significant cosmetic wear.
  • May exhibit minor non-impacting issues (e.g., louder fan, faded label).
  • Recommended for labs, testing environments, or non-critical use cases.

Grade E — For Parts / Not Working

  • Non-functional or only partially functional equipment.
  • May have missing components or physical damage.
  • Sold strictly as-is for parts, repair, or recycling.
  • No warranty, returns, or functional guarantees.

Returns & Warranty Policy

Return eligibility depends on the grade of the product purchased:

  • Grade A & Grade B: Eligible for standard return policies and/or manufacturer warranty.
  • Grade C & Grade D: Includes a functional guarantee but may not qualify for cosmetic-related returns.
  • Grade E: Final sale. Sold strictly for parts or repair with no functional warranty.

All returns must comply with our general Return & RMA Policy.

  • Accessory availability may vary between grades.
  • All hardware (except Grade E) is tested according to our internal quality control standards.
Grade Description Typical Condition Use Case
A – New / Factory Sealed Brand new, unopened, factory-sealed product. No wear, original packaging and all accessories included. Full retail customers, warranty-sensitive deployments.
B – Like New / Open Box Opened packaging, unused or appears unused. Excellent cosmetic condition, fully tested, accessories typically included. Production networks, business deployments.
C – Used / Fully Functional Previously used but fully operational. Light to moderate cosmetic wear; may be missing non-critical accessories. General business use, non-sensitive environments.
D – Heavily Used / Functional With Defects Operational with notable wear or minor functional quirks. Scratches, dents, loud fans, faded labels; still functional. Lab environments, testing, non-critical networks.
E – For Parts / Not Working Non-functional or incomplete hardware. Physical damage or missing components; no guarantees. Parts harvesting, repairs, recycling.
